November Issue of People En ESPAÑOL on Newsstands October 1, 2007
New York, NY--(HISPANIC PR WIRE)--October 26, 2007--In an exclusive interview with PEOPLE En Español, Colombian rocker Juanes opens up about fighting for his marriage to model and actress Karen Martinez. The couple, who have been married nearly four years, went through some rocky times and briefly separated, before making the commitment to get back together. Juanes also chats about his new album, La Vida…es un Ratico, which hits stores October 23rd.
“We are in the process of reconciliation”, says Juanes about his relationship with Martinez, after a short break up a few months ago. “In the middle of all this adversity it hasn’t been easy, but we have a great friendship and we’re very clear that there is a big love.” The singer admits that mending the relationship has not been an easy task, but says that they are united by their strong bond and two beautiful daughters. “We have to protect, and at the same time put back together our family.”
Juanes also talks candidly about a rumored romance while separated from Martinez. “Definitely it is something that caused damage. I have hurt myself and I have hurt others. That has not been easy,” he says. But he admits that the heartache poured out in recording his latest CD.
“Sometimes you have to accept that you’ve lost and that you’ve made mistakes. You have to accept it. It’s part of life,” he says. “This album talks about that moment.”
