New York, NY--(HISPANIC PR WIRE)--September 11, 2007--New York’s own Sonido Secreto will open up for Jaguares on September 12, 2007 at the Highline Ballroom in New York City.
Made up of Pozo (guitar), Gaia (drums/percussion), Oveck (lead vocals/guitar), and the sultry Sol (bass/vocals), Sonido Secreto is on the verge of bringing their unique sound to the masses. While once categorized as a blend of grunge and psychedelic rock with subliminal sound effects and samples, they recently have incorporated a more progressive rock approach, adding classic rock, hard rock and blues influences. Their sound is offered in elaborate musical parables rich with allegories that offer respite before a sonic rush of climax until transforming into a trip in which they transport their audience to a surrender of the senses. This versatile quartet experiments with sounds in which influences of classic bands like Pink Floyd or Led Zeppelin as well as sounds of contemporaries like La Barranca and Draco can be heard.
“We are extremely excited that Guasabara’s inaugural act will be sharing the stage with veritable Rock en Español Legends like Jaguares,” said Guasabara Records, CEO Jason Otaño. “The time has come for rock fans worldwide to take part in the Sonido Secreto experience. Hopefully, this show will help pave the way.”
Sonido Secreto signed with Guasabara Records in the fall of 2006. Sonido Secreto just completed their debut album, Voodoo Sónico. The recent single release - "Huellas de Rosas" & "Wasted", was the inaugural release for Guasabara Records, as well as the first commercial release by Sonido Secreto.
