Applications Now Available for Winner’s Circle Student Scholarships to Be Presented at the 17th Annual Hispanic Business Magazine EOY(R) Awards

Santa Barbara, CA--(HISPANIC PR WIRE)--July 16, 2007--Hispanic Business magazine has announced that Winner’s Circle Scholarship applications are now available online and applications will be accepted until Sept. 24, 2007.

The Winner’s Circle Scholarship Fund assists Hispanic students with education-related costs as they complete their undergraduate, graduate or post-graduate education. These scholarships are available on a competitive basis to full-time students enrolled at accredited colleges, universities and community colleges. Scholarship recipients will receive $1,500 toward their education and attend the Hispanic Business magazine 2007 EOY Awards in Los Angeles, with travel and accommodations covered by Hispanic Business magazine. This year’s EOY celebrates the 25th anniversary of the HB500(R), Hispanic Business’ benchmark directory of the nation's largest Hispanic-owned companies.

Attended by luminaries from the worlds of government, business and academia, Hispanic Business magazine’s EOY Awards event is dedicated to celebrating the successes of U.S. Hispanic entrepreneurs in five major categories: Heavy Industry, Infobusiness, Latina, Rising Star and Trade Industry.

The annual gala dinner has featured keynote addresses by such high-profile speakers as Fabián Núñez, speaker of the California State Assembly, the Rev. Jesse Jackson and former Energy and Transportation Secretary Federico Peña. Dionicio Morales, founder of the Mexican American Opportunities Foundation (MAOF), was honored in 2006 with a Lifetime Achievement Award for his work to empower Mexican Americans throughout California.
