Santa Barbara, CA--(HISPANIC PR WIRE)--June 1, 2006--The June issue of Hispanic Business magazine features the 24th annual Hispanic Business 500(R), the benchmark directory of the 500 largest Hispanic-owned companies in the United States.
The Related Group of Florida, a leading builder of luxury condominium highrises, has maintained its lead for the second year in a row as the top Hispanic-owned company in the nation with 2005 revenues of $3.247 billion. It is the first company in the history of the Hispanic Business 500 to grow by $1 billion in two consecutive years. Related CEO and Chairman Jorge Perez attributes the firm’s success to broad relationships and networks within South Florida along with a carefully monitored strategy and infrastructure that can support flexible planning and fast growth.
The annual Hispanic Business 500 directory is widely recognized as the barometer of the U.S. Hispanic Economy. Cumulative revenues for the directory totaled $34.82 billion in 2005, a 15.2 percent increase from 2004 – or four times the growth rate of the U.S. economy. Their numbers increased 31 percent since the last Economic Census in 1997, at almost three times the rate of all U.S. companies.
