Hennessy sponsored the National Hispanic Media Coalition (NHMC) 9th Annual Impact Awards Gala who’s mission is to open doors for Latinos in media. The black tie event was hosted by Freddie Prinze Jr. and Jacqueline Obradors of ABC’s “Freddie”.
Tony Award winner Sara Ramirez who won this year’s TONY for Best Performance by a Featured Actress in a Musical for “Monty Python’s Spamalot” received an award for Outstanding Performance in a Theatrical Production. Enrique Murciano from the hit CBS TV series “Without a Trace” received an award for Outstanding Performance in a Dramatic Television Series. Miguel Sandoval starring in the hit drama series “Medium” received an award for Outstanding Performance in a Dramatic Television Series. Benito Martinez who plays Captain David Acebeda on “The Shield” received an award for Outstanding Performance in a Dramatic Television Series. Comedian Carlos Mencia who can currently be seen in 85 million living rooms nationwide with his Comedy Central television series, “Mind of Mencia” was honored with the Outstanding Performance in a Comedy Series. Sal Castro a leader in the Chicano movement and famous student walkouts of the 60s received an award for Outstanding Service and Commitment to the Latino Community.
