Local government officials and technology leaders have been invited to discuss public policy initiatives that may affect the telecommunications industry and our community for many years to come. The proposed reform of the Telecommunications Act of 1996 and possible changes to telecommunications policy in the states could have a profound impact on the more than 1.2 million Latinos in the New Jersey and the tri-state area.

Latinos are currently the most underrepresented racial group in the IT workforce.”

“Improving opportunities for Latinos in Information Sciences and Technology is LISTA’s mission. I look forward to driving the attention of our participants to focus on the needs of our Latino community, he said.
