New York, NY--(HISPANIC PR WIRE)--October 6, 2005--After five weeks of previews under its belt, LATINOLOGUES(TM), the groundbreaking comedy about life in America, will officially open in New York on Broadway at the Helen Hayes Theatre on Thursday, October 13, 2005. Backed by the same producer of John Leguizamo’s ‘SEXAHOLIX’ on Broadway, Tate Entertainment Group presents the first ever Latino created, written, directed and produced play with an all Latino cast on Broadway.

“I fell in love with Latinologues and the characters on the first show,” says Robin Tate, Producer of Latinologues on Broadway. “There is no show like this, especially on Broadway and we need to fill a void that has been vacant.” Latinos need entertainment, a show they can relate to, and the great thing about Latinologues is that it’s a show all audiences can enjoy.”

LATINOLOGUES(TM) is an award winning collection of comedic and poignant monologues about life in America, written, created by Rick Najera one of America’s leading comedy writers with “MAD TV” and “In Living Color” among his credits. Najera along with Eugenio Derbez, Rene Lavan and Shirley A. Rumierk perform in LATINOLOGUES, as they take on everything from immigration to beauty pageants, shattering Latino stereotypes with hilarious results. The legendary Cheech Marin directs the Broadway production of LATINOLOGUES which plays through December 4, 2005. Show is performed in English.

The playing schedule for LATINOLOGUES(TM) at the Helen Hayes Theatre is Tuesday through Friday evenings at 8 p.m., Saturdays at 5 and 9 p.m., and Sundays at 3 and 7 p.m. Ticket prices are $40 and $60 with a $20 rush ticket for the first two rows of the orchestra available on the day of performance.
