Yahoo! Telemundo Reveals BUZZ-worthy Searches for February, Highlights Top 10 Searches in Three Popular Search Categories

The month of February inspired many to turn to the stars and the supernatural as many searched for the much announced lunar eclipse of February 20th and UFO photos. The fascination with stars crossed over into Hollywood as users searched for the latest on Angelina Jolie and the rampant pregnancy rumors. There was also much buzz around supermodel Heidi Klum who was once again among the best dressed at the Oscars, and new mom Christina Aguilera who unveiled her new baby with the exclusive first photos in People magazine. In addition, Yahoo! Telemundo users turned to the Internet to relive the most memorable commercials from this year’s Super Bowl and stay up to speed on their novelas. Last, but not least, Fidel Castro’s resignation after 49 years in power also fueled a number of searches for Cuba.

Photos of Britney Spears were also highly sought after, especially since she was committed to the psychological ward of an L.A. hospital as her legal battles dragged on. Angelina Jolie was on bump watch, Heidi Klum was red carpet fabulous and Lindsay Lohan summoned the spirit of Marilyn Monroe for her the New York Magazine pictorial – all sought after images which placed these ladies in the Top 10.

Still, others preferred to face the year with a smile as they searched for short jokes to entertain themselves or share with friends.
