Puerto Vallarta, Mexico--(HISPANIC PR WIRE – PRNewswire)--February 29, 2008--The Vallarta Zoo celebrates another victory over extinction. Nine cubs were born at the zoo in the last few weeks: 2 Golden Bengal Tigers, 4 Black Panthers and 3 Common Bengal Tigers. The baby cubs are already drawing locals and tourists from all over the world, who are making the journey for the sole experience of playing, hugging and taking pictures with the kittens.

The Mexican tourist destination of Puerto Vallarta has been in the news all over the world thanks to Zoologico de Vallarta, which has experienced a baby boom in the last few months with the birth of a variety of animals, many of them in danger of extinction.

Not even celebrities can resist the temptation of playing with these adorable felines, as Mexican singer Ezequiel Pena and international actress Norma Herrera show in these pictures.

“Visiting the Vallarta Zoo is a very different experience,” says one visitor. “We’ve visited many of the best zoos in the world, but this is the one we’ve enjoyed the most. The animals here are happy to see you. You can buy a bag of animal feed at the entrance and feed most of them.”

“You can also pet the animals and take your picture with them,” said a group of Canadian visitors interviewed by zoo personnel.

For those unable to visit the zoo in person, the kittens and many other animals can be seen on the zoo’s website: http://www.zoologicodevallarta.com
