New Conference Dealing With Hispanic Advertising and Radio Issues to Be Held In San Antonio
West Palm Beach, FL--(HISPANIC PR WIRE)--March 16, 2007--Radio Ink, a leading radio industry trade publication, has announced the launch of its first Hispanic Radio Conference, to be held May 22-23 at the Sheraton Gunter Hotel in San Antonio. Conference sessions will help broadcasters and advertisers understand the explosive growth in Hispanic broadcasting, the corresponding increase in Hispanic radio advertising, and issues impacting the future of Hispanic radio and advertising.
“Anyone who wants to see the future of radio must understand the enormous impact of Hispanic radio,” said Radio Ink Publisher B. Eric Rhoads. “This conference will not only appeal to those already working in Hispanic radio, but to anyone who wants to understand its influence on radio and radio advertising,” he continued. “Hispanic radio in the United States is no longer regional, and because it has become an important market within most cities, we are predicting multiple new Hispanic formats appealing to all age groups and demographics throughout America.”
The two-and-a-half day conference will kick off with a keynote address by former president/COO of Univision Henry Cisneros, who also served as Secretary of Housing and Urban Development during the Clinton administration; and close with a high-energy Group Head Roundtable with owners of Hispanic radio companies. Other sessions will reveal the growth of the Hispanic marketplace and its impact on radio broadcasting, demographic trends, and issues facing radio broadcasters and advertisers. Sessions are designed for radio management and programming professionals as well as advertisers using or exploring Hispanic radio. Attendance is limited to 300.
Ralph Guild, former CEO of Interep, a national advertising representative and a sponsor of the event, said “We applaud Radio Ink for putting together this important event for our industry. Hispanic radio will be a strong growth area for our medium in the coming years. We need con-ferences like this to assure that we maximize this tremendous opportunity and best serve the needs of Hispanic consumers and marketers alike.”
The Radio Ink Hispanic Conference will also introduce the Medallas de Cortez, recognizing out-standing broadcasters and advertisers who personify the best in Hispanic radio. The awards are named in honor of Raoul Cortez, the founder of the first Spanish-language radio station.
Radio Ink is known for its high-impact conferences within the radio broadcasting industry.
