COPA AIRLINES ANNOUNCES DAILY FLIGHTS TO SAO PAULO, BRAZIL
PANAMA CITY, Panama--(HISPANIC PR WIRE - BUSINESS WIRE)--Dec. 6, 2002--Copa Airlines announced today that beginning Dec. 13, it will offer daily flights between Panama and Sao Paulo, Brazil, except Mondays from Panama and Tuesdays from Sao Paulo.
With these new flights, Copa will operate six weekly flights between Panama and Sao Paulo.
The new Copa flight will leave Panama at 11:20 a.m., arriving in Sao Paulo at 9:20 p.m., local time. The return flight leaves Sao Paulo at 2:10 p.m., arriving in Panama at 6:10 p.m.
"The increase in the number of daily flights that we offer to Sao Paulo reinforces our effort to promote travel options from our Hub of the Americas, in order to contribute to the development of trade and tourism in Latin America," said Jorge Garcia Icaza, commercial vice president of Copa Airlines. "In addition, it demonstrates the progress of our operations at Copa's Hub of the Americas at Tocumen International Airport."
Copa Airlines will operate a Boeing 737-700 Next Generation aircraft on the route, with space for 124 passengers: 12 in Executive Class and 112 in the main cabin.
"The recent increase in the number of flights we offer, as well as our modernization program that includes the acquisition of new Boeing 737-800 Next Generation aircraft, places Copa Airlines at the forefront of commercial aviation in the region," Garcia Icaza added.
