Massey Villarreal Re-Appointed as Chair-Elect of the United States Hispanic Chamber of Commerce Foundation Board of Directors

Washington, DC--(HISPANIC PR WIRE)--September 11, 2006--On August 12, 2006 The United States Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (USHCC) Foundation held their Board of Directors elections in Orlando, Florida. The United States Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (USHCC) Foundation is pleased to announce that Massey Villarreal of Houston, Texas has been re-appointed as Chair-Elect.

Mr. Villarreal is CEO and President of Precision Task Group, Inc, a computer-consulting firm that provides data processing solutions to public and private sector firms. A native of Texas and an exceptionally well-respected and influential figure in the Hispanic community, Mr. Villarreal has served as Chairman of the Houston Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, the Texas Association of Mexican American Chambers of Commerce (TAMACC) and the United States Hispanic Chamber of Commerce during 1998-1999. He was recently re-elected to the United States Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (USHCC) Board of Directors as Vice-Chair. “Mr. Villarreal is a true leader in the Hispanic community and I look forward to continuing to work with him” said USHCC Foundation President & CEO Frank Lopez.

In addition, the USHCC Foundation is also delighted to announce the following recent appointees to their Board of Directors, Mr. Peter Granillo, Vice-Chair, Ms. Jackie Rojas-Quinones, Treasurer and Ms. Sandra Figueroa Bast, Secretary.

About Mr. Granillo

Mr. Granillo is President and CEO of Brown and White, Incorporated; founded in 1980. He currently serves on the United States Hispanic Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors. At the local level, Mr. Granillo serves on the advisory board of the Tucson Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, and the Governor’s Task Force for Material Shortage Committee and is an avid advocate for small business. Mr. Granillo also serves on several local boards; such as, Community Advisor for Kappa Delta Chi (Delta Chapter, University of Arizona), Arizona School Facilities Board, and numerous non-profit youth boards.

About Ms, Rojas-Quinones

Ms. Rojas-Quinones is President of Accounting & Beyond, in her native of Tampa, Florida. She has served on the Executive Board of Directors of both the Tampa Bay Hispanic Chamber of Commerce as chairwoman and from 2001-2003 served as Treasurer of the Tampa Hispanic Heritage, Inc. In addition, Ms. Rojas-Quinones was elected to serve on the Board of Directors for Region VI of the United States Hispanic Chamber of Commerce. In 2000, Ms. Rojas-Quinones began the Tampa Bay Hispanic Business Partners and that same year was named the Tampa Bay Hispanic Business Woman of the Year.

About Ms. Figueroa Bast

Ms. Figueroa Bast is President of Bast Services, Inc, an Illinois-based corporation dedicated to providing premiere IT consulting services and integrated solutions, as well as superior educational outreach. Currently, Ms. Bast is the Illinois Aerospace States Association (ASA) Delegate appointed by Illinois Governor Pat Quinn serving as Treasurer and as ASA’s Federal/State Liaison to Under-Represented Groups. In addition Ms. Bast holds a number of other positions including: Board Member of the United States Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, Assistant Treasurer of Illinois Legislative Latino Caucus Foundation, Secretary/Treasurer to the Illinois Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, Immediate Past Chairman of the Human Relations Commission in Highland Park, Board Member of the Illinois Math and Science Academy, and Immediate Past President of the Highland Park Good Morning Rotary Club.
