Miami, FL--(HISPANIC PR WIRE)--September 22, 2005--Creating one of the first-ever food, décor and lifestyle television shows for Hispanics in the United States, Latin TV personality Ingrid Hoffmann is bringing her signature Hispanic flair and cuisine to DIRECTV PARA TODOS(R) programming customers with the launch of “Delicioso with Ingrid Hoffmann.” The new half-hour show will be air beginning today, Wednesday, September 14, on Accesso VIP(TM) channel 400 as an exclusive for DIRECTV PARA TODOS customers.

A popular Hispanic celebrity both in the United States and Latin America, Hoffmann is best known here for her innovative and fun food and décor ideas and creations that she offers in an eight-page monthly feature in Buenhogar (the Spanish version of Good Housekeeping) and bi-weekly segments on Univision’s Despierta America, the highest-rated Spanish morning TV show in the country. Her cooking, décor and fashion savvy draws comparisons to Martha Stewart, but with an unmistakable Hispanic vibe.

Hoffmann’s new “Delicioso” (Spanish for delicious) premieres on DIRECTV PARA TODOS in the United States following a successful run on Hearst Entertainment’s Cosmopolitan Network throughout Latin America and the Caribbean. Now in production for its second season, the show will regularly air during daytime and primetime hours every Wednesday six times throughout the course of the day. Complementing the launch of the Spanish-language show, which will be a one-of-a-kind showcase of Hoffmann’s trademark tips and ideas, is the launch of the www.deliciosotv.com website featuring an archive of many of her most loved recipes and suggestions.

“Delicioso helps busy Hispanic women enjoy and celebrate the zest for life that has become one of the calling cards of our culture in the U.S.,” said Hoffmann. “In addition to the Latin-inspired food, style and décor tips that I’m known for, it offers a variety of ideas for entertaining, shopping, beauty and even dating that are proven winners.”

The show is filmed in Miami, the undisputed capital of Latino cool which Hoffmann has called home for the last 20 years. In the premiere episode, entitled “Coco Loco,” she focuses on a tropical theme for an outdoor party with minimal fuss and maximum fun. Every episode illustrates tips and ideas for a specific occasion, including breakfast in bed, Sunday brunch, afternoon barbeque, girls-only get-together, and other special gatherings with friends and family. Hoffmann also welcomes celebrity guests, including distinguished chefs and TV/film stars, to share their own personal tips and ideas for living life to the fullest with a Hispanic spirit.

About Ingrid Hoffmann

While Ingrid Hoffmann is best known in the United States for her food and décor contributions to the leading national Spanish-language TV morning show and a monthly magazine, she is known in Colombia and throughout Latin America as a beautiful and talented star of many popular TV soap operas and shows. In fact, by the age of 20 she had already appeared in Colombia in 16 soap operas, four theater productions and several TV commercials for Coca Cola, the national lottery and various home products.

In addition to acting, Hoffmann has a passion for food and style, and she moved to Miami in 1985 to open a fashion boutique and later an internationally recognized restaurant. The boutique, La Capricieuse became an instant hit among Miami fashionistas and international megastars, including Madonna, Sylvester Stallone and Demi Moore. Upon selling the business, she opened a restaurant dubbed Rocca that became Miami’s first eatery to feature table-top cooking on heated lava rocks. The restaurant became an instant sensation, and it was featured as one of the area’s finest in Robin Leach’s “Lifestyles of the Rich & Famous.”

Soon after opening the restaurant, Hoffmann became a contributing writer for Buenhogar, the Spanish version of Good Housekeeping and one of the largest domestic Spanish monthly magazines, and her eight-page food and décor column has gone on to become one of the publication’s most popular features.

By combining her acting and broadcast talents with her passion for Latin-inspired cuisine, Hoffmann began hosting a cooking segment on a local Miami-area TV show in 2002. She quickly caught the attention of executives at Spanish-language TV network Univision, which soon thereafter gave her a bi-weekly cooking and style segment on Despierta America, one of the network’s most popular daily shows and the leading Spanish morning show in the country.

The launch of “Delicioso with Ingrid Hoffmann” on DIRECTV is expected to help propel her popularity to new heights.
