Expo Mexico Emprende 2012 Opens In Chicago Friday
Mexico's Secretary of the Economy Leads Entrepreneurial Initiative

Weekend Expo Kicks-off with Mexican Government Officials and Business Leaders

CHICAGO, May 25, 2012 /PRNewswire-HISPANIC PR WIRE/ -- Mexico's Secretary of Economy, Bruno Ferrari Garcia de Alba, together with Undersecretary Ambassador Julian Ventura, representing Ambassador Patricia Espinosa Cantellano, the Secretary of Foreign Relations of Mexico, along with some of Mexico's most prominent dignitaries will participate in the Inaugural ceremonies of the second edition of Expo Mexico Emprende 2012, an initiative of the Mexican government with the potential to be a game changer for Mexicans on both sides of the border. The initiative aims to ignite the entrepreneurial spark in Mexicans living abroad and in their country of origin.

Expo Mexico Emprende 2012 is a free, three-day interactive conference that will bring together in one place and at one time, a plethora of government programs designed to help Mexicans start and grow businesses.

Among participating top-ranking Mexican officials and governors from 17 states that will join Ferrari Garcia de Alba will be Undersecretary of Foreign Relations Amb. Julian Ventura, for Small and Medium Businesses, Miguel Maron Manzur, and the Governor of Puebla, Rafael Moreno Valle Rosas, as well as the Consul General of Mexico in Chicago, Eduardo Arnal Palomera, who will welcome Mexico's visiting dignitaries to the city. The opening ceremony program will be followed by an official ribbon-cutting and VIP tour of the Expo by visiting dignitaries and Chicago-area business and community leaders.

An impressive list of topics will be presented in plenary sessions including how to navigate the current economic climate and innovation as a key business strategy. A full schedule of workshops will cover such topics as financing, marketing, starting or growing businesses in the areas of high tech, green businesses, aerospace, franchising with more than 500 Mexican and American companies participating, business matchmaking and the basics on how to start a business.
