FAIRFAX, Va., Oct. 28 /PRNewswire-HISPANIC PR WIRE/ -- For millions of abandoned teens, the only thing scarier than the past is the thought of the future. After aging out of orphanages, they face a life of poverty and exploitation due to limited job skills, early pregnancies, and a lack of social support.

Teaching Hope ( http://www.teachinghope.org ) provides education and training to older orphaned children in order to improve their chances of being gainfully employed upon release from the orphanage. Programs include vocational training, life-skills counseling, transitional housing and a network of caring adults to help prepare the children for adult life.

What: Please join Teaching Hope to help raise funds for the Amparo de Ninas orphanage ( http://www.teachinghope.org/Whatwedo.html ) in Bogota, Colombia. 15% of all food and beverage sold between 7:30 PM and 1:30 AM will be donated to Teaching Hope. A cover charge of $10 will be collected at the door, and Armonia Latina Show Band ( http://www.armonialatina.com ) will be providing entertainment all evening. A fully loaded buffet will be available for free between 8:00 PM and 9:30 PM with paid cover.
