HARTFORD, Conn., Oct. 13 /PRNewswire/ -- It is with great pleasure that Identidad Latina Hispanic Newspaper (www.identidadlatina.com) in Connecticut invites you to the 5th "Latino de Oro 2009" Award Ceremony. This year, the event will be held on Saturday, November 7, 2009 at 6:00 pm in the Theatre of the Performing Arts at the Learning Corridor, on 359 Washington St. Hartford, CT 06106.

Identidad Latina (www.identidadlatina.com) is proud to continue with this traditional Award Ceremony that has recognized individuals such as Senator Christopher Dodd, ECSU President Dr. Elsa Nunez, and President of Aetna Foundation Marilda Gandara, to mention some. The awards are designed to recognize men and women of Connecticut that have made a significant contribution to our community and have shown outstanding performance in their field. There are 10 award categories: Politics, Sports, Arts & Culture, Music, Education, Media, Health, Student of the Year, Community Service & Lifetime Achievement.

The event ceremony will start with a reception including a buffet of typical Latin American foods; live Latin musicians will also be providing entertainment prior to the Ceremony. Back for its second year in a row will be Identidad Latina's own "Golden Carpet". Attendees will be able to walk through it and experience the glamour of Hollywood with photographers on hand.

As part of the event, we will be preparing a Commemorative Magazine, which will be distributed during this event and all our sponsored events through 2010. It is a glossy full-color magazine, with advertisement space still available. The deadline to submit ad copy is October 16, 2009.
