HITN TV Receives the 'Media Excellence Award'
NEW YORK, Aug. 12 /PRNewswire-HISPANIC PR WIRE/ -- The New York State Federation of Hispanic Chambers of Commerce acknowledged HITN TV's excellent coverage of the events surrounding the historical confirmation of Sonia Sotomayor as the first Hispanic judge to become a member of the United States Supreme Court of Justice.
The "Media Excellence Award" was given to HITN TV for its broad coverage in Spanish during several weeks, beginning with the judge's confirmation prospects, both on television and the Internet, and ending with the broadcast of the swearing-in ceremony, the first ever of its type to be broadcast in the United States. HITN TV aired an information day devoted to Judge Sonia Sotomayor, with hourly updates and programs.
